Ahhhhh, my beautiful and fabulous friend and hairdresser of 10 years! She’s been keeping me fresh-to-death for as long as I can remember so I’m going to give her a big shout out! My girl Mary! Her 2 little guys were so funny, a bit shy and timid at first and maybe they were even in a bit of an anti-picture-taking mood but I figured out what made them laugh… they’re boys so you know, I tried all the boy things I could think of and then- it hit me… DUH! FART NOISES! (worked like a charm)
OMG! My neighbor is seriously gorgeous! A beautiful person inside and out. We can’t wait for baby girl to arrive so we decided to take some time while mommy was still feeling great and drive out to a dry lake bed for a few pics to commemorate this time before she and her hubby become a family of 3! Eeeekkk! Baby will be here soon!!
This has to be one of my very favorite sessions! I just love the color palette we used. Baby Brooklyn’s skin was a dream and I barely had to even edit it at all. And it looked so good with all the pink, coral, mint, taupe and tan. I seriously could have photographed this girl ALL DAY! Just gorgeous!

Meet sweet little Arianna! She was born 8 weeks early, and when she came to see me, she was already a month old! I usually only do newborns that are 5-10 days old but no more than 14 days old, so I was a little nervous to see if she was going to sleep for me, but SHE DID GREAT! She slept like an angel though most of my session allowing me to capture so many pictures for her family. Here are a few of my favorites.

Momma came in and knew exactly what she wanted! picked out a fox hat, an antique Coca Cola wagon and said she loved rustic pics and I was happy to oblige! This little man was making the cutest faces at the end, lol! So much personality!

Little Miss Adeline is turning 1 and celebrating her very first birthday with Sheena Gal! Yay! Her mom picked the best colors ever! I seriously LOVE pink and mint together. I also love the “naked cake” which helped with the soft vintage look. This cake was made my Kelly’s Cakes (she does all my cakes and she is FAB).
Welcome Miss Chloe! I’ve been waiting to meet you! I was privileged enough to meet your mommy and daddy before you arrived for maternity pictures! (You’ll get to see those when you’re a little bit bigger!) But for now, I was very happy to snuggle you today and take these gorgeous pictures for your family. I hope to see you again soon!

This is Skyler, my very first rainbow baby.
A “rainbow baby” is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss. In the real world, a beautiful and bright rainbow follows a storm and gives hope of things getting better. The rainbow is more appreciated having just experienced the storm in comparison.
His mom contacted me to book a session kind of last minute and I’m so glad I was able to get her in. I didn’t know he was a rainbow baby until later. So when she arrived I kind of scrambled for an idea because I didn’t have enough time to order stuff prior and I came up with the first picture below. I didn’t even have time to correctly pose Skyler because he immediately started giggling and smiling once I put him down on the blanket. I grabbed my camera so fast, I’m completely shocked that my pictures even came out in focus! But then the belly laughs continued and I snapped a few pictures of him smiling like crazy! It’s almost like an older sibling was tickling him in his dreams…

This little guy just wanted to be awake for the family portion of our newborn session. Sometimes when babies come to see me, they just want to check stuff out… They don’t want to miss anything! Eventually we got him to sleep and got some adorable posed shots of this little prince.
This daddy might be proud of his baby but we are proud of HIM! Major Saldanha, MD serves our country in the United States Air Force. I am always honored when given the privilege to take pictures of military families but this season will always be very special to me. After over 3 years of photographing newborns, this one is my very favorite session, to date! I love all the colors working together with baby’s skin tone and hair color… And speaking of hair… WOW! And little Mila had THE VERY BEST eyelashes that I have EVER seen! So gorgeous! (Check out my ongoing military discount)
"Happy Camper" Cake Smash! Conversely, this little guy actually started out the session crying, but once he found out cake was involved, he got locked in and eventually, by the end, we got a few little smiles. 🙌
